Paris Saint-Germain are kings of Europe for the second straight year.

PSG defeated Arsenal 4-3 in a penalty shootout in Saturday's Champions League final after coming from behind to send the match to extra time. The gripping contest finished 1-1 after 120 minutes, and Arsenal defender Gabriel sent his penalty flying over the bar to decide the shootout.

Kai Havertz opened the scoring in Budapest in the sixth minute, pouncing on a fortunate ricochet down the left before rifling an unstoppable shot past PSG 'keeper Matvey Safonov.

PSG pulled level in the 65th minute after Cristhian Mosquera bundled Khvicha Kvaratskhelia over in the box. The current Ballon d'Or holder, Ousmane Dembele, stepped up and confidently slotted the penalty home. There were no further goals to separate the sides after 90 minutes.

Luis Enrique's side claimed its first-ever Champions League title in 2025 by thrashing Inter Milan 5-0.

Arsenal's only previous Champions League final appearance was in 2006, when they lost 2-1 to Barcelona in a tightly-contested affair.

More to come.
