Zlatan finally gets hands on 1st major European title

Better late than never.

By virtue of Manchester United's 2-0 victory over Ajax in Wednesday's Europa League final, Zlatan Ibrahimovic got his hands on a European trophy for the first time in his storied career.

The big Swede didn't play in the match - he's been out since tearing his ACL in the quarter-final of the tournament, against Anderlecht - but there was something fitting about seeing the 35-year-old Malmo native hoist the trophy to raucous applause in his home country.

And it's not as though Ibrahimovic didn't play any part in helping the Red Devils get to this point ...
