Olivier Giroud is now the 19th player to score 100 Arsenal goals.

Giroud made it a century seconds into the second half of Thursday's Europa League clash at BATE Borisov from the penalty spot after Shkodran Mustafi was brought down in the area. The Gunners won the battle 4-2 to take top spot in Group H.

The stately French striker joins an exclusive list of players including club-leading scorer Thierry Henry, Ian Wright, Robin van Persie, and legends from the days of yore Cliff Bastin and Ted Drake.

It's an undeniable accomplishment for one of the Premier League's most divisive players - largely loved by Arsenal fans who sing his name to the tune of "Hey Jude," but maligned by supporters of other clubs and pundits who don't rate the towering Frenchman. Regardless, few players in England's top flight are as adept at hold-up play and winning aerial duels.

Since enlisting with the north London lot in 2012 from shock Ligue 1 winner Montpellier, Giroud has won a trio of FA Cups and three Community Shields while emerging as Didier Deschamps' go-to striker in France's starting XI. His 26 headed goals are the most in the Premier League since 2011-12 - a year after he joined the club - and second only to Cristiano Ronaldo among Europe's top five leagues.
