Ivanka Trump is headed to South Korea, as the White House announced that President Donald Trump's daughter and senior adviser will lead the United States' delegation for Sunday's closing ceremony.

"We look forward to congratulating Team USA and celebrating all that our athletes have achieved," Ivanka said in a statement. "Their talent, drive, grit, and spirit embodies American excellence, and inspire us all."

The president of South Korea, Moon Jae-in, will host her for dinner in Seoul on Friday before she heads to PyeongChang for the remainder of the weekend, according to USA TODAY's Aamer Madhani.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is also part of the U.S. delegation.
