Rising star Bianca Andreescu won't compete at the All-England Club this summer, withdrawing from Wimbledon due to an ongoing shoulder injury, according to the WTA.

It's the same injury that she suffered at the Miami Open in March, which also forced her to pull out of the French Open.

Andreescu was having a breakout season, reaching a career-high ranking of 22 in May. The 19-year-old holds a 32-4 record this year but has played just one match since the Miami Open.

She opened her season with a finals appearance at the Auckland Open in January and defeated three-time Grand Slam champion Angelique Kerber to claim the prestigious Indian Wells title in March.

Andreescu has bested some of the game's top players during her young career, including former World No. 1s Venus Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, and Garbine Muguruza.
