Colorado Rockies catcher Jacob Stallings thought he beat the Seattle Mariners on Sunday with a walk-off home run before he was ultimately called out following video review due to fan interference.

"I was hoping for the best - I thought it might have been a homer off the bat," Stallings said, according to Thomas Harding of MLB.com. "I wasn’t really sure what was going on. I saw the ball come back on the field, so I just thought it hit the fence or something."

The round-tripper would've been Stallings' first with the Rockies after joining the club in the offseason on a one-year contract.

The Rockies ended up winning the first game of the doubleheader 2-1 in extras thanks to an RBI single by Ryan McMahon in the 10th inning:

The Mariners claimed the second contest by a score of 10-2.
