Salah: Likely the last time I'll face Man City at Anfield as Liverpool player

Mohamed Salah added fuel to speculation over his Liverpool future following Sunday's win over Manchester City.

After scoring and setting up a goal to help the Reds win 2-0, Salah, whose contract expires next summer, said he was savoring the moment because it could be his last game against Manchester City at Anfield as a Liverpool player.

"Honestly it's in my head. Until now this is the last City game I will play for Liverpool so I was just going to enjoy it," he said to Sky Sports after the game, according to ESPN's Beth Lindop.

"The atmosphere was incredible so I will enjoy every second here. Hopefully we just win the league and will see what will happen."

Salah previously spoke about his contract situation in late November when he revealed to reporters after Liverpool's win over Southampton that he hasn't received an offer to extend his stay.

Letting Salah leave for free would come as a surprise considering that Salah's at the center of Liverpool's renaissance this season.

The 32-year-old has 11 goals and seven assists in 13 Premier League games and has helped the Reds build a nine-point lead. His brace against City extended his streak to six league games with at least a goal.

The Egypt international, who arrived at Liverpool in 2017, will be able to speak with teams outside of England about a free transfer next summer when the January transfer window opens.
