Latest transfer news and rumors: Arsenal, Chelsea eye Gordon
The transfer window may be closed, but the rumors never stop swirling. Check in every day for all the latest buzz from across the soccer world.
Top story: Newcastle open to Gordon offers
Arsenal and Chelsea are considering a summer pursuit of Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon. Although Gordon has been integral to Newcastle's success in recent years, raising funds to adhere to the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules (PSR) could necessitate the 24-year-old's shock departure.
The England international has a long-term contract until 2030, so it'll likely take an offer in the region of £80 million to sign Gordon this summer. Gordon, who joined the Magpies from Everton in 2023, has nine goals and seven assists in 41 appearances. He also helped Newcastle win the League Cup, the club's first major trophy since 1969. (iNews)
