Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel criticized his team's mentality after a 5-1 thumping versus Lille and a 3-2 defeat at Nantes handed the capital-city club consecutive league losses for the first time since March 2009, putting title celebrations on ice.

"We have no right to show this attitude when wearing the PSG shirt. I am worried ahead of the Coupe de France final (against Rennes)," Tuchel told outlet Canal+ on Thursday.

"We played very badly, and Nantes deserved to win," the German tactician added.

"It was an easy match to analyze - it was a very bad game on our part, and we deserved to lose. We did not perform well. Across 90 minutes, there was no performance from us - it is not possible to win like this. We will always defend the players if we try to play and be a team, but it is not possible to defend them here."

Still boasting a 17-point advantage on second-place Lille with six matches to play, PSG will next try to clinch their sixth league title in seven years with a result at home to Monaco on Sunday.

Amid a slew of notable absences against Nantes, Tuchel was forced to employ several younger players on the fringes of first-team football. Ahead of the weekend date with Monaco, the manager is uncertain what's in store.

"We have nine players back in Paris training and we saw the consequences," Tuchel said. " I do not know if those players will be back on Sunday."

Among those who missed out on the defeat at the Stade de la Beaujoire was Ligue 1's leading scorer, Kylian Mbappe, forcing Tuchel to reject reports linking the youngster's omission to disciplinary issues.

"Kylian not being called up was my decision," Tuchel said. "There are reasons - it was a decision between the player and me.

"This was not punishment. I cannot answer every interpretation. It was a decision made with Kylian. No science fiction, please."
