Dutchmen, American women highlight FIFPro World XIs

The FIFPro World XIs were announced at Monday's The Best FIFA Awards ceremony in Milan, highlighting the best players in club and international football for men and women.

Three members of the Dutch national team and four standouts from Real Madrid's current squad were recognized as part of the men's XI.

Champions League winners Liverpool were represented by Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson and Virgil van Dijk. Full-backs Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, and forwards Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah narrowly missed out. The final vote can be found here.

Goalkeeper: Alisson (Liverpool and Brazil)

Defenders: Matthijs de Ligt (Ajax/Juventus and Netherlands), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool and Netherlands), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid and Spain), Marcelo (Real Madrid and Brazil)

Midfielders: Luka Modric (Real Madrid and Croatia), Frenkie de Jong (Ajax/Barcelona and Netherlands), Eden Hazard (Chelsea/Real Madrid and Belgium)

Forwards: Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain and France), Lionel Messi (Barcelona and Argentina), Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus and Portugal)

The women's XI was dominated by members of the World Cup-winning United States, with Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan, Rose Lavelle, Julie Ertz, and Kelley O'Hara all making the cut.

French giants Lyon are best represented with three athletes and the most players to make the shortlist, which can be found here.

Goalkeeper: Sari van Veenendaal (Arsenal/Atletico Madrid and Netherlands)

Defenders: Lucy Bronze (Lyon and England), Wendie Renard (Lyon and France), Nilla Fischer (Wolfsburg/Linkopings FC and Sweden), Kelley O'Hara (Utah Royals and United States)

Midfielders: Amandine Henry (Lyon and France), Julie Ertz (Chicago Red Stars and United States), Rose Lavelle (Washington Spirit and United States)

Forwards: Marta (Orlando Pride and Brazil), Megan Rapinoe (Reign FC and United States), Alex Morgan (Orlando Pride and United States)
