Red Sox visit the Rays to begin 3-game series

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Jarren Duran hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the seventh inning, Garrett Crochet struck out nine in six innings and the Boston Red Sox eliminated Tampa Bay from postseason contention with an 11-7 win over the Rays on Friday night.
With the win, the Red Sox are tied with Houston for the AL's second wild card, 1 1/2 games ahead of Cleveland.
