International signing roundup: Yankees, A's land top prospects
Major League Baseball's international signing period began July 2, and clubs all over the league made a flurry of moves.
The New York Yankees came to terms with the top available international prospect when they signed Dominican outfielder Jasson Dominguez. The Oakland Athletics, meanwhile, signed Dominican shortstop Robert Puason, who was MLB Pipeline's second-ranked international player available.
Dominguez and Puason each signed for an estimated $5 million, according to MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez.

The Baltimore Orioles signed a franchise-record 27 international players Tuesday. Elijah Tatis, the younger brother of Fernando Tatis Jr., reportedly agreed to a deal with the Chicago White Sox, sources told Sanchez.
