The fan who caught Aaron Judge's record-setting 62nd home run ball turned down a big offer for the historic item before it hits the auction block later this month.

Cory Youmans, the 35-year-old man who caught the ball on Oct. 4 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, was offered $3 million for it, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan. He instead decided to sell the ball through Goldin Auctions.

"It seems fair in the sense it gives anyone that is interested and has the means the opportunity to own it," Youmans told Passan. "As a fan, I'm curious to see what it's worth, who buys it and what they do with it."

Youmans said he spoke with a New York Yankees security official on the night he caught the ball, but the discussions didn't lead to a deal to return it.

Judge told reporters Thursday that he won't be bidding on the ball, joking, "I haven't signed my free-agent deal yet, so I think that's a little out of my price range right now."

The auction opens Nov. 29, with bidding starting at $1 million.

"The ball has the potential to become the highest-priced baseball ever sold," Goldin Auctions founder Ken Goldin told TMZ Sports. "Three million-plus would be my estimate."
