The Minnesota Twins are getting back two key pieces of their lineup.

Minnesota announced Monday that it reinstated third baseman Royce Lewis and utility man Willi Castro from the injured list. Edouard Julian and Mickey Gasper were optioned to Triple-A St. Paul in corresponding moves.

Lewis, 25, has been sidelined since mid-March with a hamstring strain.

The 2017 No. 1 pick has been a dynamic hitter when healthy but has struggled with persistent injury issues throughout his career. He has played just 152 games since debuting in 2022.

Lewis hit 16 home runs with 47 RBIs and a .747 OPS (106 OPS+) across 82 contests in 2024.

Castro, an All-Star last year, was hitting .227/.292/.364 with one home run and a stolen base in 18 games before suffering an oblique strain.

The return of both players should provide the Twins' offense with a much-needed shot in the arm. The lineup ranks 18th in MLB in runs scored (133) and 23rd in home runs (28).

Minnesota entered Monday with a 15-20 record.
