St. Louis Cardinals closer Ryan Helsley is getting attention from multiple clubs ahead of Thursday's trade deadline.

The New York Yankees, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, and Toronto Blue Jays are pursuing Helsley, sources told Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.

The Cardinals are reportedly willing to listen to offers for the 2024 MLB saves leader, third baseman Nolan Arenado, and right-hander Sonny Gray, among others.

Arenado's name has come up in discussions with the Houston Astros, but there's no momentum toward a trade as of Tuesday morning, reports Jon Morosi of MLB Network. The Astros tried to acquire Arenado last offseason, but the eight-time All-Star used his no-trade clause to block the deal.

Helsley owns a 3.00 ERA with 21 saves and 10.3 K/9 over 36 appearances in 2025. The two-time All-Star can test free agency at the end of this season.

The Cardinals enter Tuesday's action 3.5 games out of the NL's final wild-card spot and nine games behind the NL Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers. However, St. Louis has played better than expected after the front office signaled during the winter that the club would prioritize its minor-league system over the major-league roster.
