World Series odds: Blue Jays underdogs vs. defending champion Dodgers
The Blue Jays open as underdogs against the Dodgers in their attempt to knock off the reigning World Series champs and claim their first title since 1993.
Toronto is +175 (36.4% implied probability) to win the World Series on ESPN BET and theScore Bet, with Los Angeles priced at -210 (67.7% implied probability). The Blue Jays have home-field advantage in the postseason finale thanks to their 94-68 record, one win more than the Dodgers. These teams met in early August and the Dodgers took two out of three games in the series.
Los Angeles, which swept the Brewers in the NLCS, has been the favorite to repeat as champion all season. Meanwhile, Toronto's odds were as long as +5000 in early June, and even spiked to +2200 after the team dropped the first two games of the ALCS to the Mariners.

The Blue Jays will have their hands full with Shohei Ohtani and Co. The Dodgers' lineup is loaded and their rotation is deep thanks to one of the largest payrolls in baseball.
Ohtani is coming off what some are calling the best game of baseball ever played. He struck out 10 Brewers in six scoreless innings and hit three home runs in the clinching game of the NLCS. Unsurprisingly, he's the favorite for World Series MVP.
