Lindor expected to miss 'quite a bit' of time with calf strain
The New York Mets placed shortstop Francisco Lindor on the 10-day injured list with a left calf strain, the team announced Thursday.
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said the club doesn't have a timetable for Lindor's recovery but expects him to be out for "quite a bit," according to SNY.
Lindor said "there's definitely some level of concern" about his injury and echoed his manager's uncertainty about when he might return.

Lindor exited Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Twins in the fifth inning with left calf tightness. He said he hurt his calf rounding third base in the fourth, according to ESPN's Jorge Castillo.

New York recalled Ronny Mauricio from Triple-A to replace the five-time All-Star on the roster. The Mets also called up right-hander Christian Scott and optioned right-hander Austin Warren.
The Mets snapped a 12-game losing streak with Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Twins.
