Watch: Hooker makes featherweight limit in test weight cut

Dan Hooker might be headed back down to 145 pounds.

The UFC fighter, who has competed in the lightweight division since 2017, appeared to hit the featherweight limit Monday to conclude a successful test weight cut:

Hooker has yet to confirm whether he will compete as a featherweight moving forward.

"The Hangman" teased last week that a weight change could be in his near future, telling The Mac Life that he was working with a dietician "very closely" and was "doing a little test run." At the time, Hooker hadn't specified whether he was considering a move down to featherweight or a move up to welterweight.

Hooker, who stands 6 feet, moved up to lightweight more than four years ago after going 3-3 to start his UFC career as a featherweight.

The 31-year-old found much more success in the heavier weight class, becoming a legitimate title contender. He started out with a 7-1 record - which includes wins over Gilbert Burns, Paul Felder, and Al Iaquinta - before dropping three of his last four fights.

Hooker most recently stepped into the Octagon on short notice at UFC 267 in October, losing to Islam Makhachev by first-round submission. He's ranked No. 8 at lightweight.
