Volkanovski and Shevchenko join Jon Jones, Alexander Gustafsson, Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey, Adesanya, and Masvidal as cover athletes in the video game franchise.
Volkanovski, the UFC's No. 2-ranked pound-for-pound male fighter, is the longest reigning active champion in the promotion, having defended his title five times since 2020.
Shevchenko is considered one of the best women's fighters in MMA history. She was the UFC women's flyweight champion from December 2018 until losing to Alexa Grasso in March. Shevchenko and Grasso are scheduled to meet in a rematch Sept. 16.
Adesanya is scheduled to defend the middleweight title against Sean Strickland in the UFC 293 main event Sept. 9 in Sydney, Australia.
EA Sports UFC 5 does not yet have an official release date.
