White: UFC White House event will be 'Sphere on steroids'
UFC CEO Dana White is promising quite the spectacle for next year's event at the White House.
President Donald Trump announced earlier this month he plans to host a UFC event on the White House grounds July 4, 2026, to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence. White believes it will be "a one-of-one experience."
"Like when we did the Sphere. It's the Sphere on steroids," White told "The Pat McAfee Show" on Tuesday. "It's gonna be a one-of-one event. There'll be nothing like it ever again."
White said he and his team have begun mapping out what the event could look like. They're scheduled to fly to Washington in the coming weeks to pitch their plans to Trump and begin "fine-tuning" the event.
Though a bout lineup is far from set, White didn't rule out the possibility of Conor McGregor and the recently retired Jon Jones both competing at the White House.
"Anything is possible and everything is possible for that card," White said.
He told Barstool's Robbie Fox: "I'm gonna make this one of the greatest events of all time. ... It will be a full card, and it will be the best card we've ever done to date."
