Emmett-Vallejos to headline UFC's March 14 event
Featherweights Josh Emmett and Kevin Vallejos will meet in the main event of a UFC Fight Night card March 14 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, the promotion announced Friday.
Emmett, a former interim title challenger, is looking to snap a two-fight skid. The 40-year-old is coming off a submission loss to Youssef Zalal at UFC 320 last October. Emmett hasn't been victorious since a brutal knockout of Bryce Mitchell in December 2023.
Vallejos is one of the hottest up-and-comers in the 145-pound division. The 24-year-old knocked out Giga Chikadze in December to improve to 3-0 in the UFC. Vallejos holds a 17-1 record as a professional.
The March 14 event will also feature a light heavyweight bout between Ion Cutelaba and Oumar Sy and a strawweight matchup between Amanda Lemos and Gillian Robertson.
