The NBA is investigating Houston Rockets swingman Danuel House for allegedly allowing a female COVID-19 testing official to enter his hotel room, Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes reports.

House insists he's innocent of breaking protocol, sources told Haynes. The NBA is reportedly expected to announce a decision before Game 4 on Thursday, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

Reports of a league investigation first surfaced late Wednesday, and House's status for the Rockets' ongoing series against the Los Angeles Lakers was said to be in jeopardy. House reportedly did not leave the Disney World campus, though no further details were initially provided.

House did not play in Houston's Game 3 loss Tuesday due to "personal reasons." The latest injury report lists him out for Game 4 for the same reason.

The 27-year-old has averaged 11.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while shooting 35.8% from three this postseason.
