Bulls' LaVine out 1 week with foot soreness
Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine will be sidelined for one week due to right foot soreness, the team announced Friday.
LaVine missed the Bulls' overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night. He originally injured his foot Tuesday against the Boston Celtics.
Veteran forward DeMar DeRozan also missed the contest against the Bucks due to a sprained ankle. The Bulls started Ayo Dosunmu, Coby White, Alex Caruso, Patrick Williams, and Nikola Vucevic.
LaVine is second on the team in scoring, averaging 21 points per game, as well as 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 35.3 minutes. Over seven seasons in Chicago, he's averaged 24.4 points per game.
The Bulls are 13th in the Eastern Conference with a 6-14 record. They face the New Orleans Pelicans, Charlotte Hornets, and San Antonio Spurs over the next week.
