Free-agent wing Derrick Jones Jr. is signing a three-year, $30-million contract to join the Los Angeles Clippers, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Jones scored a career-high 8.6 points per game this past season with the Dallas Mavericks, helping the club reach the NBA Finals for the first time since 2011. He started all 22 of Dallas' playoff games, putting up 9.1 points and 3.5 rebounds on rounded shooting splits of 48/37/73.

The Clippers could be in the market for other wings after the organization said that free-agent star Paul George informed them he was signing elsewhere. The team did reportedly agree to re-sign star guard James Harden but is also apparently looking to trade Russell Westbrook.

Jones signed a minimum contract with the Mavs in August 2023 following two campaigns with the Chicago Bulls. Before the year he spent with the Portland Trail Blazers in 2020-21, he spent multiple seasons with the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns.
