Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas missed Tuesday's 116-115 win over the Charlotte Hornets due to lower back tightness.
The Nets started second-year wing Jalen Wilson in Thomas' place. They're now 1-1 in NBA Cup play.
The absence was Thomas' first of the season. He's averaging 24.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 14 contests this campaign while ranking 14th in the league in points per game and 12th in total points.
Thomas led the Nets in scoring last year, averaging 22.5 points per game. Brooklyn drafted the former LSU guard 27th overall in 2021.
Brooklyn is 6-8 on the season after ending a three-game losing streak.
