Report: Bucks sign GM Horst to multi-year extension
The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a multi-year contract extension with general manager Jon Horst, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
The two sides reportedly reached a new deal late Wednesday before Horst's contract expired, Charania added.
Milwaukee has made the playoffs in each of Horst's eight seasons as general manager. Their .647 win percentage during that span is the second-best mark in the NBA, per ESPN Research.
Horst was named Executive of the Year in 2019 and was the architect of the team's 2021 championship squad.
Horst began his executive career as the Detroit Pistons' manager of basketball operations in August 2007. He then joined the Bucks' organization less than a year later to become its director of basketball operations.
Horst was promoted to general manager in June 2017 after John Hammond left to join the Orlando Magic.
