Report: Nuggets trade Porter, 1st-rounder to Nets for Cam Johnson
The Denver Nuggets are trading Michael Porter Jr. and an unprotected 2032 first-round pick to the Brooklyn Nets for Cam Johnson, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Porter has spent his entire six-year career with the Nuggets since they drafted him 14th overall in 2018.
The Missouri product averaged 18.2 points, seven boards, and 2.1 assists across 77 appearances last season. He played a key role during the Nuggets' inaugural championship run in 2023.
Porter has two seasons remaining on his contract.
Brooklyn acquired Johnson in February 2023 as part of the Kevin Durant blockbuster trade. He posted a career-high 18.8 points on 47.5% shooting last season.
Johnson's a career 39.2% 3-point shooter and will help the Nuggets' spacing. He's set to earn $21.1 million this upcoming season and $23.1 million in 2026-27.
