The Sacramento Kings offered Jonathan Kuminga a three-year, $63-million contract as part of a potential sign-and-trade deal that would send Malik Monk and a lottery-protected 2030 first-rounder to the Golden State Warriors, sources told The Athletic's Sam Amick.

The Warriors would get the least favorable 2031 first-round pick of the Kings or San Antonio Spurs if the draft selection didn't convey in 2030, Amick added.

Golden State reportedly wants the first-round pick to be unprotected, however, which has resulted in a stalemate.

Phoenix apparently proposed a four-year deal worth close to $90 million to Kuminga. However, there's been no progress in talks between the Suns and Warriors as the latter has no interest in Phoenix's trade assets, Amick reports.

Kuminga, a restricted free agent, reportedly turned down a two-year, $45-million offer from the Warriors that featured a team option for the second season. The forward has until Oct. 1 to sign Golden State's one-year, $7.9-million qualifying offer.

Monk has been one of the NBA's top reserve players since joining the Kings, averaging 15.3 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.1 boards across 214 appearances over the last three seasons.

The Kentucky product was second to Naz Reid in Sixth Man of the Year voting in 2023-24. The guard also had a fifth-place finish during the 2022-23 campaign.

Monk averaged a career-high 17.2 points on 43.9% shooting last season.
