LeBron teases 2nd major 'decision' Oct. 7 amid retirement rumors
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James set social media ablaze by cryptically announcing that he'll make a "decision of all decisions" Tuesday at 12 p.m. ET.
James shared a viral video on X and referred to it as "The Second Decision" on Monday.

The nature of James' upcoming announcement is unclear. The four-time Finals MVP turns 41 in December and has only one year left on his contract with the Lakers. He left his NBA future open-ended during the offseason.
However, it's also been speculated that James' "second decision" isn't related to basketball at all. Tuesday marks the start of Amazon's Prime Day, a campaign that James has promoted previously while also linking it to questions about his basketball future.
James' "decision of all decisions" undoubtedly evokes his original decision in 2010, when he announced his intentions to join the Miami Heat in one of the biggest free-agent choices in NBA history.
The 21-time All-Star has proved age is just a number, posting a strong 2024-25 season with averages of 24.4 points, 8.2 assists, and 7.8 rebounds per game across 70 appearances.
