We will help our players, but being treated fairly is a two-way street," a source told Kyed and Callahan.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Belichick coached the Patriots for 24 seasons, building one of the most storied dynasties in sports history and winning six Super Bowl titles alongside Tom Brady.</p><p>Although Belichick and New England announced they mutually agreed to part ways at the end of the 2023 season, Patriots owner Robert Kraft <a href="https://www.boston.com/sports/new-england-patriots/2024/10/15/robert-kraft-explains-why-he-had-to-fire-bill-belichick/">said</a> during an October interview that he "fired" Belichick. Last year, Apple TV released a docuseries about Belichick and Brady's Patriots called "The Dynasty," which many viewed as a hit piece on Belichick, note Kyed and Callahan.</p><p>Kraft said Wednesday he wants to build a Belichick statue next to Brady's outside of Gillette Stadium.</p><p>The 73-year-old didn't coach last year and joined North Carolina this past offseason in a stunning move. <p><a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/161667" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/161667">Micah Parsons</a> can't wait for his Green Bay Packers debut Sunday against the Detroit Lions.</p><p>Parsons said Thursday that he wasn't a fan of the Lions - one of Green Bay's biggest rivals - even before the Dallas Cowboys traded him to the Packers last week.</p><p>"I felt like Dallas and Detroit already had a rivalry," Parsons said, according to <a href="https://x.com/ByRyanWood/status/1963702012651970791">Ryan Wood of USA Today</a>. "I already got that rivalry built up. I'm excited to play them. I've never liked Detroit. I've never liked them, even when I was in Dallas. It was just always a heavyweight fight."</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>The Lions and Packers enter the regular season as two of the NFC's top teams. Detroit was the conference's 1-seed in 2024 after posting a 15-2 record, while Green Bay reached the playoffs with 11 wins.</p><p>Though the Packers have dominated this all-time rivalry overall, the Lions swept their in-season series last year and are 5-1 versus Green Bay over the past three campaigns. Under head coach Dan Campbell, Detroit has won three out of four games at Lambeau Field.</p><p>With Campbell and former coordinator Ben Johnson at the helm, the Lions became known for their offensive firepower and creativity. Johnson left Detroit this past offseason, but the team is still expected to boast one of the NFL's most productive offenses. However, the Lions' viral trick plays and unpredictability on offense haven't impressed Parsons.</p><p>"Trick plays are for people who can't beat you straight up," Parsons said. "They won't want to outphysical you; they don't want to be dominant. It's a scare tactic."</p><p>Parsons, 26, has faced the Lions twice in his career, collecting 10 tackles, two tackles for loss, and two sacks. The Cowboys won both of those games.</p>

Right out of the gate," the Clemson head coach said, according to <a href="https://x.com/bryce_koon/status/1962920581231255987">Bryce Koon of On3</a>. "It's like getting the final exam on Day 1 of class. They made a 65, we made a 58. Neither one of us were great."</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Kelly doesn't see it that way, and the LSU sideline boss thinks Swinney may not have watched the entire game. He said his side was clearly the better team in the final two quarters.</p><p>"We dominated them in the second half," Kelly <a href="https://x.com/bryce_koon/status/1962928621166682355">said</a> Tuesday while responding to Swinney's comments. "He's either a really good grader, giving himself a 58, or he's a really hard grader on us. Or he didn't see the second half, which that might be the case; he might not have wanted to see the second half."</p><p>Clemson held a one-possession lead at halftime after limiting LSU to three points in the first 30 minutes. However, Kelly's outfit scored 14 unanswered in the second half to steal a win on the road. Swinney's side reached the opponent's 5-yard line in the final minute, but LSU held on on fourth down to seal the victory.</p>

Though Jones originally said he wouldn't deal the 26-year-old, he ultimately sent Parsons to the Packers in exchange for two first-round picks and defensive lineman <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/75148" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/75148">Kenny Clark</a>. Green Bay then signed Parsons to a record-breaking four-year, $186-million contract with $120 million guaranteed.</p><p>Jones recently said the Cowboys offered Parsons the largest amount of guaranteed money for a non-QB in NFL history. However, Dallas' offer was for five years instead of four, sources told <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46128962/micah-parsons-trade-dallas-cowboys-green-bay-packers-2025-nfl-season">Jeremy Fowler and Don Van Natta Jr. of ESPN</a>. The offer reportedly included more than $150 million in total value.</p><p>"If you look at many of these contracts that the Cowboys have done over the past few years, and the recent ones, the guarantees don't stretch much further than the first new year," Mulugheta said Tuesday. "If you look at Micah's current deal, he has guarantees into four years from now. Oregon won the Big Ten last season and finished with a 13-1 record after losing in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal in the Rose Bowl.</p><p>Oklahoma State is coming off its worst season of the Gundy era after going 3-9 in 2024, including 0-9 in Big 12 play.</p>
