Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards will be out for two weeks after sustaining a right hamstring strain, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
The three-time All-Star is slated to miss at least eight games during that span.
Edwards exited Sunday's contest against the Indiana Pacers and did not return.
The former No. 1 overall pick is averaging 25.7 points and shooting 47.4% from deep through the T-Wolves' first three games. He's never missed more than 10 games in a single season.
Mike Conley, Terrence Shannon Jr., and Bones Hyland could all see more minutes during Edwards' absence.
Minnesota holds a 2-1 record entering Monday's early showdown against the Denver Nuggets.
