Georgia's Beck undergoes season-ending elbow surgery
Georgia quarterback Carson Beck underwent successful surgery Monday on his right elbow to repair a UCL injury, the Bulldogs announced, according to Stewart Mandel of The Athletic.
The procedure officially ends Beck's season. The star signal-caller is expected to make a full recovery and resume throwing in spring 2025.
Beck sustained an elbow injury while attempting a pass on the final play of the SEC title game against Texas. He was replaced by backup Gunner Stockton, who will start for Georgia in the College Football Playoff.
The Bulldogs had a bye in the first round of the CFP and host Notre Dame on Jan. 1.
A healthy Beck was projected to be one of the top quarterbacks available in the 2025 NFL Draft. He started the last two full seasons for Georgia, passing for 52 touchdowns - including an SEC-high 28 in 2024 - against 18 interceptions.
