C.J. Gardner-Johnson wants Detroit Lions fans to make a big statement during the team's home opener against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Lions safety told reporters to expect a lot of blue ski masks in the crowd at Ford Field for Sunday's game.

"From what I've seen in the crowd, we've got probably the most ruthless fans in the game," Gardner-Johnson said. "So I think, from talking crap, they feed off of us, they yell the loudest, and that was a home game for KC (last week). You gonna see it on Sunday. Blue ski masks everywhere."

When asked about the significance of the ski masks, Gardner-Johnson replied, "We villains, right? ... It's part of us. It's the culture. I'm changing it ... no paper bags. Ski masks. We taking what's ours."

The Lions are coming off a 21-20 victory over the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, while the Seahawks fell 30-13 to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1.
