Rapper Lil Dicky played a big role in helping the Philadelphia 76ers land Paul George in free agency.

On the latest episode of his podcast, George discussed the 76ers' pitch video to him and how Lil Dicky's remarks in it about saving money helped convince him to join the team.

"That video - it sold me ... What hit me was the saving money," George said. "It impacted me, it had a little touch on me."

Lil Dicky, who was a guest on the podcast, told George that 76ers president of basketball Daryl Morey approached him about being part of the video.

"I just thought, 'What would be pertinent information?' I'm from Philadelphia, I know where your dollar goes in Philadelphia," the rapper said. "I have a house in L.A. - if I spent the same amount of money on a house in Philadelphia, it would be like 100 times bigger. Your bang for your buck goes so much further in Philadelphia. A $2 million home in L.A., you spend $2 million on a house in Philadelphia, it's like a mega-mansion."

George signed a four-year, $212-million contract with the 76ers earlier in July after spending the last five seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers.
