Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is still haunted by the way last season ended for his Detroit Lions.

Brown reflected on the Lions' 2023 NFC Championship Game loss to the San Francisco 49ers, likening it to a horror movie plot ahead of their rematch this week.

"I would say that game was probably up there with the worst Ls that I've had in my life, in my football career," St. Brown told reporters Sunday, per ESPN's Eric Woodyard. "Just the way everything played out was just like a horror movie. But we're back in a new year, and we got a chance to redeem ourselves, so I think we're pretty excited."

The 49ers overcame a 24-7 halftime deficit - the largest comeback in NFL conference championship history - to defeat the Lions 34-31 in the NFC title game and advance to Super Bowl LVIII, where they fell to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The upcoming Monday Night Football matchup will be the Lions' first and only game against the 49ers this season, as San Francisco was eliminated from playoff contention with Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins.

The Lions defeated the Chicago Bears 34-17 on Sunday to improve to 13-2.
