Rodgers to play through 'little' MCL injury vs. Bills
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers plans to play through a knee injury Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
"(My knee) feels pretty good," Rodgers said Tuesday, per SportsNet New York. "A little MCL (injury). I've had a lot worse. Lucked out, avoided major stretchage of the MCL."
The 41-year-old isn't worried about missing the AFC East matchup in Buffalo.
"There is no way I'm not playing," the quarterback affirmed, according to NJ Advance Media's Andy Vasquez.
Rodgers has completed 62.8% of his passes this season for 3,511 yards, 24 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. His mark of 6.6 yards per attempt is the lowest of the future Hall of Famer's career since he became a starter in 2008.
Rodgers is just one touchdown shy of 500 career passing scores. Brett Favre (508), Peyton Manning (539), Drew Brees (571), and Tom Brady (649) are the only signal-callers in NFL history to reach the milestone.
The Jets are eliminated from playoff contention at 4-11. The Bills, meanwhile, have clinched the division with a 12-3 record and are chasing the 14-1 Kansas City Chiefs for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
