The Cincinnati Bengals signed kicker Evan McPherson to a three-year, $16.5-million extension, his agency told Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
McPherson will earn $10 million in new money in the first season, the most a kicker has ever received for a three-year extension, per Garafolo.
The Bengals drafted McPherson in the fifth round in 2021. Since entering the league, the 25-year-old has made 78 of 93 field-goal attempts, good for an 84% hit rate.
McPherson's best work has come in the postseason, where he's made all 19 field-goal tries, the second-most without a miss to begin a postseason career.
The Florida product has also been solid in extra-point attempts, hitting all 40 tries last season and 95.5% of attempts in his three-year career.
