Giants' Tracy in concussion protocol
New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. is in concussion protocol, head coach Brian Daboll told reporters Tuesday, including Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News.
Tracy sustained the injury in Monday night's 26-18 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played 57% of the Giants' offensive snaps in the defeat, rushing for 145 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. He also had two receptions for five yards.
The 24-year-old leads New York with 73 carries, 376 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns this season. Tracy has added 113 receiving yards on 20 catches.
Devin Singletary is expected to handle the majority of the team's running back snaps if Tracy is forced to miss time.
The Giants' upcoming schedule includes a home matchup against the Washington Commanders, who lead the NFC East, and a contest against the Carolina Panthers in Germany before a Week 11 bye.
