Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith will be rooting for one of his division rivals in Week 17.

The Seahawks kept their postseason hopes alive with a 6-3 victory over the Chicago Bears on Thursday, but they must now win the NFC West to clinch a playoff spot. As a result, they'll be watching Saturday's game between the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals very closely.

"Honestly, we shouldn't be in this position," Smith said following Thursday's game, according to Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. "That's the main thing. Understanding that we got to control our destiny when we can, yeah, I'm going to be a big Kyler Murray fan on Saturday. If they get it done, they get it done.

"We're going to go into the last week of the season with the same mindset no matter what."

The Cardinals are already eliminated from the playoffs, so a Week 17 victory for them will set up a winner-take-all matchup between the Seahawks and Rams in the regular-season finale.

The Seahawks and Rams previously met in Week 9, with L.A. winning 26-20 in overtime.
