Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier says Tyreek Hill hasn't asked him for a trade despite the star receiver hinting at his intention to leave.

"In a frustrating season, (Hill) was very emotional in a game where we had a chance of coming back from 2-6. ... All of that and with him playing through his injury just bubbled to a point," Grier told reporters Tuesday.

"He never asked for a trade with me."

Hill signaled a possible exit from the Dolphins following Sunday's loss to the New York Jets, saying, "I'm out," and that he has "to do what's best for (his) career."

Grier said he's had productive conversations with Hill since the regular-season finale, but the wideout didn't backtrack his comments.

Hill also didn't play in the fourth quarter of the contest, with head coach Mike McDaniel saying he was told Hill was "unavailable" due to injury. However, Hill suggested postgame that McDaniels benched him.

McDaniel said Tuesday that he and Hill "cleared the air in a rough and tumultuous situation" Monday and dismissed ideas that their relationship needed repairing.

"It's not acceptable to leave a game and won't be tolerated in the future. He embraced accountability. … I don't think there's anything to fix," McDaniel said, per ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques.

Hill had his least productive campaign since his 2019 season with the Kansas City Chiefs, missing the postseason and not being named a Pro Bowler for the first time in his nine-year career. The wideout finished the regular season with 959 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

The 30-year-old signed a revised three-year, $90-million contract with Miami in August 2024. Hill has been playing through a wrist injury sustained before the campaign started but declined season-ending surgery in November.
