The Baltimore Ravens are adding a familiar face to their coaching staff.

Baltimore hired Chuck Pagano as its senior secondary coach, the team announced Tuesday.

"It is exciting to add coach Chuck Pagano to our defensive staff and continue to develop and grow our young and talented secondary," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said in a statement. "Chuck brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and coaching talent to our team. He has deep ties to the program and is excited to get to work."

Pagano, 64, last coached in the NFL in 2020 while serving as the Chicago Bears' defensive coordinator from 2019-2020. He was originally the Ravens' secondary coach between 2008-2010 and defensive coordinator in 2011 before joining the Indianapolis Colts as the head coach.

Pagano spent six seasons with the Colts. He missed 12 games in his first year with the team while undergoing treatment for leukemia.

Pagano will now be part of a Ravens defense coordinated by Zach Orr. Doug Mallory is presumably returning as the team's secondary coach after helping Baltimore's defensive backs stand out in 2024 with All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton and All-Pro cornerback Marlon Humphrey.
