Colorado head coach Deion Sanders claims he's not attempting to steer his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, in any particular direction ahead of the NFL draft.

The Hall of Fame defensive back and proud father shared he'd be happy regardless of which team selects Shedeur next month.

"He's talked to me intently about all the visits he's had with all the teams, so I know where his heart is, I know where he wants to go," Sanders said on "The Skip Bayless Show." "If it's New York, it's New York, If it's Tennessee, if it's Cleveland, if it's still the Raiders, if it's New Orleans, if it's any of those teams that are seeking a quarterback, I'm happy with it. Because I know what he's going to do to the organization."

Deion previously said in an interview on the "Million Dollaz Worth of Game" podcast last March that there were certain cities he wouldn't let his sons (Shedeur and Shilo Sanders) play for. "It's going to be an Eli," Sanders said, according to ESPN, referring to quarterback Eli Manning refusing to play for the then-San Diego Chargers after they drafted him first overall in 2004.

Sanders is in contention with Cam Ward, Abdul Carter, and teammate Travis Hunter to be the first overall pick when the draft gets underway April 24. The former Colorado passer has reportedly been connected to the New York Giants. He's scheduled to take part in a private workout for the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns after his pro day April 4, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
