The Cougars star scored 35 points and hauled in 10 rebounds in the defeat.</p><p>The Boston native scored at least 20 points in 28 games. <p>The Houston Texans agreed to a three-year, $150-million contract extension with star edge rusher <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/188133" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/188133">Will Anderson</a>, according to <a href="https://x.com/RapSheet/status/2045190605672710427?s=20">NFL Network's Ian Rapoport</a>.</p><p>The deal reportedly includes $134 million guaranteed and makes Anderson the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. The agreement also contains a rare no-trade clause, Rapoport adds.</p><p>The record-setting extension surpasses the four-year, $188-million deal signed by Micah Parsons after the Green Bay Packers acquired him in a trade.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>The Texans recently exercised the fifth-year option on Anderson's rookie contract, which would've kept him on Houston's roster through the 2027 season.</p><p>Anderson has earned plenty of accolades since the Texans drafted him third overall in 2023, including the 2023 Defensive Rookie of the Year and two Pro Bowl nods.</p><p>The 24-year-old's extension resets the market after a 2025 season in which he posted career highs of 20 tackles for loss and 12 sacks, earning first-team All-Pro honors. Anderson spearheaded a stout Texans' defense that allowed the fewest yards per game (279) and second-fewest points (17.3).</p><p>Houston continues to lock up starters across their roster this offseason, signing <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/60658" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/60658">Danielle Hunter</a> to a one-year, $40-million deal and tight end <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/85084" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/85084">Dalton Schultz</a> to a one-year deal worth $12.6 million.</p><p>The Texans may not be done handing out new deals. Quarterback <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/188132" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/188132">C.J. Stroud</a> is also eligible for an extension this offseason after the team picked up his fifth-year option on April 8. </p>

<p>New UFC light heavyweight champion Carlos Ulberg tore his ACL during his title-winning fight against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 327, his manager, Ash Belcastro, confirmed to <a href="https://x.com/arielhelwani/status/2045174694609838377?s=20">Uncrowned's Ariel Helwani</a>.</p><p>Ulberg sustained the injury within the first two minutes of the opening round while battling for the vacant title Saturday in Miami. He's also dealing with bone bruising and tibia damage after continuing to fight through the torn ACL, per Belcastro.</p><p>The 35-year-old appeared to injure his right knee early in the first round of his bout with Prochazka, who appeared to be on track to become the light heavyweight titleholder for the second time in his career before Ulberg landed a counter left-hook knockout at the 3:45 mark.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"The knee felt like it was kind of going in and out of the socket," Ulberg said Monday on "The Ariel Helwani Show," per <a href="https://sports.yahoo.com/mma/breaking-news/article/new-ufc-champ-carlos-ulberg-confirms-torn-acl-suffered-in-stunning-ufc-327-title-win-he-snapped-it-161921020.html">Uncrowned's Shaheen Al-Shatti</a>. "The pain there, I couldn't bear any weight on that leg. Anytime I pushed off that right foot or step, any kind of weight on that leg, it would give out. So, that's basically it. The pain that I had to go through, too, was unbearable."</p><p>The New Zealander underwent surgery Thursday. There's no timeline for when he'll return to competition.</p><p>"He's dedicated to getting back as soon as he can," Belcastro said.</p><p>Ulberg owns a 15-1 record and is currently riding a 10-fight win streak, which includes victories over Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz.</p>
