The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Monday they exercised edge rusher Travon Walker's fifth-year option.
Walker, the No. 1 pick in the 2022 draft, was entering the final year of his standard rookie deal. He's now under contract through 2026.
The Georgia product has appeared in 49 games (48 starts) with the Jaguars. He set career highs with 10.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, and 61 total tackles in 2024.
Walker's 24 career sacks rank third among all players from the 2022 class. Only Detroit Lions pass-rusher Aidan Hutchinson (28.5) and Kansas City Chiefs defensive end George Karlaftis (24.5) have more.
The 6-foot-5, 272-pounder has tallied 162 total tackles (28 for loss), three forced fumbles, 44 quarterback hits, and an interception.
