Adams reunites with Carroll, joins Raiders
Former Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, the team announced Tuesday.
The move reunites Adams with head coach Pete Carroll, who was his coach during his four-season stint with the Seattle Seahawks from 2020 to 2023. The 29-year-old defensive back earned one Pro Bowl during his Seattle tenure.
Adams spent the 2024 campaign with the Tennessee Titans and Detroit Lions, making three starts in five total appearances. He recorded seven tackles in that span.
Adams spent the first three seasons of his career with the New York Jets after they selected him in the first round in 2017. He forged a reputation for being a lethal strong safety, making the Pro Bowl in two of his three years with the AFC East franchise. He registered two interceptions, six forced fumbles, and 12 sacks across his three seasons.
The Raiders' depth chart at safety also includes Jeremy Chinn and Isaiah Pola-Mao.
