<p>The Baltimore Ravens have begun their search to replace former head coach John Harbaugh. </p><p>The Ravens requested to interview Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver, a source told <a href="https://x.com/TomPelissero/status/2008985880317579414?s=20">NFL Network's Tom Pelissero</a>. Weaver previously served on Baltimore's staff from 2021-23 as a defensive line coach. A former player, Weaver was drafted by the Ravens in 2002 and played his first four seasons for the franchise.</p><p>Baltimore also asked to interview Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, a source told <a href="https://x.com/TomPelissero/status/2008986392119119879?s=20">Pelissero</a>. Kubiak is one of the hottest names on the coaching carousel, having reportedly received five interview requests.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Kubiak engineered a high-octane offense in Seattle this season that averaged 28.4 points per game, good for third in the league.</p><p>The Ravens shockingly fired Harbaugh on Tuesday following an 8-9 season that ended without a playoff appearance. Although Harbaugh has a Super Bowl victory to his name, Baltimore's struggled to find postseason success with star quarterback <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/97162" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/97162">Lamar Jackson</a>. The Ravens own a 3-6 postseason record since 2018 when Jackson became the starter, though he missed one playoff game - a wild-card loss to the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2022 season - due to injury.</p>

However, the team went 7-10 in his final season.</p><p>The 62-year-old is one of the most veteran candidates available with 18 years of head coaching experience. Prior to his Cowboys stint, McCarthy led the Packers for 13 seasons, compiling a 125-77-2 record and winning a Super Bowl at the end of the 2010 season.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>The Giants fired Brian Daboll in November. They're reportedly set to meet with former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski and are rumored as a potential landing spot for John Harbaugh after the Ravens fired him Tuesday. New York apparently also requested to speak with Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph and Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo.</p><p>The Giants have struggled to find stability at head coach since Tom Coughlin stepped down after the 2015 campaign. Although the offense ranked fourth in points scored, Morton lost his play-calling duties to head coach Dan Campbell midway through the season.</p><p>Morton joined the Lions after two years as the Denver Broncos' passing game coordinator. He previously served on Campbell's Lions staff in 2022 as a senior offensive assistant.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Morton said ahead of the regular-season finale that he wanted to return to the organization.</p><p>Detroit marked Morton's second attempt as an offensive coordinator, both of which ended in one-and-done dismissals. He's responsible for two of Cleveland's three trips to the postseason since the franchise returned to the league in 1999. His four-year stay got off to a promising start with a division title and 12-4 record in 2018, but he went 22-27 over his final three seasons, including a 6-11 mark in his final campaign.</p><p>Before his stint in Chicago, Nagy had been quarterbacks coach and then offensive coordinator in Kansas City. He returned to the Chiefs after his firing and once again served as quarterbacks coach before being promoted to offensive coordinator in 2023.</p><p>Joseph and Spagnuolo also have history as head coaches. Joseph went 11-21 over two seasons as the Broncos' sideline boss from 2017-18 while Spagnuolo holds an 11-41 mark. He did this over three seasons as St. Louis Rams head coach from 2009-2011 and a four-game stint as the Giants' interim coach in 2017.</p>

It was Atlanta's fourth straight victory. Blank adds that he plans to quickly find a president of football so that the individual can be "fully involved" in the hires.</p><p>President Greg Beadles will also add CEO to his list of responsibilities, succeeding Rich McKay. Beadles will "collaborate closely" with the president of football to ensure everything is "working toward the goal of a winning product." Meanwhile, McKay will focus on Arthur M. He won the full-time job in 2024 after the Falcons conducted a lengthy interview process to replace Arthur Smith. Overall, Atlanta went 20-25 under Morris.</p><p>The Falcons didn't make any playoff appearances in five seasons under Fontenot's management despite spending significant draft capital on standout skill-position players. If Mercedes is the leading force, that naturally leaves one of Red Bull/Ford, Ferrari, Audi, or Honda to come out of the gates with an extremely uncompetitive engine package.</p><h3>Red Bull's power unit surprises</h3><p>Red Bull and Ford's power unit won't be the worst on the grid. In fact, the collaboration's debut project won't be anywhere near the back of the pack. Sure, he's not neck and neck with Verstappen, but Red Bull finally has the young No. 2 driver it has been trying for so long to find.</p><h3>Ferrari goes winless again </h3><p>After quickly bailing on its woeful 2025 car, Ferrari's dreams for 2026 quickly become nightmares as it finds itself comfortably behind the front-runners again. Lewis Hamilton's hopes of an eighth world title quickly go up in red smoke while Charles Leclerc finally loses his smile.</p><h3>Bortoleto gets Audi's first podium</h3><p>Audi endures some choppy waters out of the gate in its debut season, but backed by its status as a full works team, the German manufacturer ends on a high with a late-season podium. And the first podium in Audi's history won't go to seasoned veteran Nico Hulkenberg, but instead to the young Gabriel Bortoleto, who clearly becomes the team's leading driver in 2026.</p><h3>Williams finishes top 3 in constructors' championship</h3><p>With a strong Mercedes power unit and a factory that is seemingly only getting better, Williams finishes third in the constructors' standings for the first time since 2015. Well, prepare for that to change. New power units typically mean more problems. More problems mean more retirements. More retirements mean being on the edge of your seat in each race until your driver takes the checkered flag and crosses the finish line.</p><h3>At least 15 drivers step on podium</h3><p>The potential for mechanical retirements to return in droves could spice up the results for more than a few races. Sprinkle in the fact that F1 is always due for a few unexpected podiums and there should be more surprises than usual. F1 hasn't had 15 different drivers step on the podium in a single season since 1997, but 2026 brings the right amount of chaos to end that drought.</p><h3>Another loophole is discovered</h3><p>Rumours about Mercedes and possibly Red Bull exploiting a loophole when it comes to the compression ratio of the internal combustion engine are running rampant. Piastri, accepting that Norris' status as a world champion solidifies him as McLaren's No. 1 asset, decides it's time to find a team that will build solely around him. Red Bull, now in need of a top driver, pays handsomely to get a proven commodity like Piastri from McLaren. Who better to iron out this move than Piastri's current manager and former Red Bull driver Mark Webber?</p><h3>Hamilton retires</h3><p>Lewis Hamilton finds better form in 2026, but it's still not quite up to the seven-time champion's usual standards. However, Ferrari needs something massive to replace Leclerc, who was the heart and soul of the team. Few Mercedes-powered drivers want to abandon the competitive edge they have, but Antonelli returning to his homeland is the kind of swing that makes sense for both the Italian teenager and Ferrari. Selling the potential of an Italian driver ending Ferrari's title drought will have the Tifosi hooked for the foreseeable future.</p><h3>Sainz heads back to McLaren</h3><p>The always opportunistic Carlos Sainz sees an opportunity to move up the pecking order with an opening at McLaren. After an enjoyable two-year stay with Williams, the Spaniard returns to the papaya squad to team up with Norris once again.</p><h3>Bottas, Perez give Cadillac exactly what it needs</h3><p>Cadillac's debut season won't grab many headlines as the team endures a massive learning curve. However, in a low-expectation environment, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez get the redemption they were seeking by each racking up five-plus points finishes. Their success does have an unintended consequence, though, putting the team in a tough spot when deciding which veteran to release after 2026 to make way for former IndyCar star Colton Herta.</p><h3>Lindblad looks like the next big thing</h3><p>Red Bull is no stranger to bold decisions with its young drivers. Arvid Lindblad's promotion to F1 is the latest gamble. However, this one pays off handsomely as it doesn't take long for the 18-year-old to get the better of Racing Bulls teammate Liam Lawson. This also occurred last year, though Rivers was not interested at the time.</p><p>There is a belief that Rivers will receive at least one interview during the upcoming coaching cycle, according to Rapoport.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Rivers, who shocked the football world by coming out of retirement to start three games for the Indianapolis Colts this season, was coaching at St. Michael Catholic, a high school in Alabama, prior to his NFL return. He previously said he plans to return to high school coaching in 2026.</p><p>The eight-time Pro Bowl quarterback lost all three of his starts during his 2025 comeback, but his play held steady despite a layoff of four-plus years. He completed 63% of his passes for 544 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions.</p>

But Minnesota isn't planning on moving on from McCarthy even if it adds a veteran to challenge him.</p><p>McCarthy has been plagued by injuries and inconsistent play in his first season as the full-time starter. The No. 10 overall pick from 2024 has missed seven games this season due to various ailments, including an ankle sprain, fractured throwing hand, and a concussion. </p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>He's thrown for more interceptions (12) than touchdowns (11) in the nine starts he did make and has compiled a 5-4 record.</p><p>McCarthy missed his entire rookie season due to meniscus surgery. Minnesota went 14-3 that season with <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/98048" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/98048">Sam Darnold</a> as its starting quarterback. However, Darnold and <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/97984" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/97984">Daniel Jones</a> both left in free agency, clearing a path for McCarthy to take the starting job in 2025.</p><p>The 8-8 Vikings, already eliminated from playoff contention, head into the season finale trying to finish a disappointing campaign on a high. They take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.</p>

He went back to the playoffs in 2023 with an 11-6 mark. </p><p>The 43-year-old served as the offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings before taking the Cleveland job in 2020. </p><p>He holds a 44-56 career record as a head coach.</p>
