Eagles' Brown won't play vs. Giants due to hamstring injury
The Philadelphia Eagles ruled out wide receiver A.J. Brown for Sunday's game against the New York Giants due to a hamstring injury.
Various injuries are also keeping Cam Jurgens, Adoree Jackson, and Azeez Ojulari out of Week 8. Brandon Graham, who came out of retirement to rejoin Philly this week, won't debut Sunday and has been ruled out due to a non-injury-related designation.
Brown hasn't practiced all week because of his issue. It's unclear when the star wide receiver suffered the injury, but he played the Eagles' entire Week 7 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The 28-year-old turned in his best performance in the contest, recording four receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns.
With Brown sidelined, Jalen Hurts will have to rely more on DeVonta Smith, who's been Philadelphia's leading receiver through seven contests. His 346 receiving yards over the last three weeks rank third in the NFL behind Ja'Marr Chase and Jaxson Smith-Njigba.
The Eagles are 5-2 and will be wearing their alternate Kelly Green uniforms against the 2-5 division-rival Giants on Sunday.
