Nacua believes officials make calls to get on TV: 'Refs are the worst'
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua believes some referees make calls just to get shown on television.
"The refs are the worst," Nacua said on a Twitch livestream with Adin Ross and N3ON. "These guys are lawyers, and they want to be on TV too.
"You don't think he's texting his friends in the group chat like, 'Yo, you guys just saw me on Sunday Night Football. That wasn't P.I. (pass interference), but I called it.'"
When N3ON followed up by asking if referees actually call unwarranted penalties, Nacua replied, "These guys are normal human beings, too, bro."

Nacua later said that head coach Sean McVay wouldn't let the two internet personalities inside the team facility ahead of Thursday's NFC West clash with the Seattle Seahawks.
The NFL can punish players for criticizing referees. In 2023, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was fined $100K and Patrick Mahomes was docked $50K for violating league rules about public criticism of officials.
Nacua, 24, is having the best season of his career, totaling 102 receptions for 1,367 receiving yards and seven total touchdowns in 13 games.
