Star pass-rusher T.J. Watt intends to return to the Pittsburgh Steelers' lineup for Sunday's crucial matchup against the Baltimore Ravens after sustaining a partially collapsed lung.

Watt told reporters Friday that he's felt good this week and is "excited to play" Sunday, according to ESPN's Brooke Pryor.

"I had a great week of practice. I had no limitations," Watt continued. "Tried to simulate as much as I could with shoulder pads and stuff like that, but you can only simulate so much. So I feel really good right now. Hoping that's the case on Sunday as well."

He was a full participant in Friday's workout and did not have a designation on the team's final injury report.

Watt underwent surgery on his lung Dec. 12 following a mishap during a dry needling session. He returned to practice last week as a limited participant but was ruled out for Pittsburgh's game against the Cleveland Browns.

Head coach Mike Tomlin expressed optimism earlier this week that Watt would be available Sunday.

The eight-time Pro Bowler provides Pittsburgh's defense with a massive boost ahead of the divisional showdown. The winner will claim the AFC North title and host a playoff game in the wild-card round, while the loser will miss the postseason.

Watt recorded 18 QB hits, 10 tackles for loss, and seven sacks this season prior to being sidelined.

Pittsburgh posted a 2-1 record in Watt's absence. The Steelers are attempting to win their first divisional title since 2020.
