Panthers' McMillan takes home OROY award
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan took home the Offensive Rookie of the Year award at the NFL Honors ceremony Thursday.
McMillan beat out four other finalists: New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, New Orleans Saints passer Tyler Shough, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, and New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson.
| Player | First-place votes | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Tetairoa McMillan | 41 | 445 |
| Tyler Shough | 5 | 168 |
| TreVeyon Henderson | 1 | 111 |
| Jaxson Dart | 1 | 88 |
| Emeka Egbuka | 0 | 66 |
McMillan is the first non-quarterback to win OROY since Garrett Wilson in 2022. He's also the first Panther to claim the award since Cam Newton in '11.
Drafted eighth overall, McMillan led all rookie wide receivers with 1,014 yards and seven touchdown catches on 70 receptions during the 2025 season.
Dart and Shough made late-season pushes to be named the campaign's top offensive rookie, but neither started all 17 games. Dart accounted for 24 touchdowns in 12 starts in 2025, while Shough helped the Saints win five of his nine starts as a rookie.
